Computer vision depends on the conditions in which an image is captured as much as the model being used. Blake Technologies evaluates image quality, variation, labeling needs, and the consequence of a missed or incorrect detection. We build the capture, inference, review, and integration workflow together so the result can support a real operating decision.

Field-service and maintenance businesses often collect images that are difficult to review consistently at scale. Computer vision software can help organize those images and identify observations that deserve closer inspection. For private equity-backed service companies, we assess whether capture practices, equipment types, and review needs are similar enough to support reuse across locations or businesses.

Design around the real environment

01

Visual inspection

Evaluate classification and detection approaches for defined objects, conditions, or defects using representative images.

02

Capture and deployment

Account for camera placement, lighting, connectivity, and whether processing belongs at the edge or in a central service.

03

Review and feedback

Route uncertain results to reviewers and use documented feedback to improve the evaluation dataset.

A useful distinction

Can a demonstration on a few photos prove production accuracy?

No. Evaluation needs images representing actual environments, unusual cases, and changes over time. We agree acceptable error rates for the use case and retain human review where mistakes could have significant consequences.

A tested capability, not just a visual demo

Your engagement outputs

  • A capture and dataset preparation plan
  • A scoped vision capability and review interface
  • Evaluation results and deployment requirements

Scope, schedule, team, and support are agreed for the engagement.
