Give the system a job—and clear limits.

An agentic application can select actions and use software tools to move a task forward. Blake Technologies designs these systems with defined permissions, bounded execution, and visible state. We decide which steps belong in deterministic software and which benefit from model reasoning. Users need to know what the system has done, what it proposes next, and when their input is required.

Service-business automation often crosses several systems: a customer request becomes a proposed job, a scheduled visit, and a follow-up task. We build AI agents for the parts of that workflow where reasoning is useful and use conventional software for rules that must hold. Private equity operating teams can evaluate the same approach across compatible portfolio-company processes.

A useful distinction

Does an agent need unrestricted autonomy?

No. Many valuable applications work within a small set of tools and require approval at selected points. We define autonomy around the task and consequences, then test whether the application stays within those boundaries.

A tool is a narrow contract

Authorization and validation happen outside the model.

Build for action and recovery

01

Tool design

Expose specific operations with clear inputs, output validation, and permissions limited to the task.

02

Workflow orchestration

Maintain progress across steps, handle timeouts and retries, and prevent duplicate actions when execution is interrupted.

03

Human checkpoints

Require review where an action creates an external commitment, changes important records, or falls outside approved boundaries.

Your engagement outputs

  • A workflow and action-permission model
  • Implemented tools and orchestration with failure handling
  • Evaluation scenarios, execution logs, and recovery guidance

Scope, schedule, team, and support are agreed for the engagement.
